May Day

73nd Annual Pender Harbour  Madeira Park

The first Pender Harbour May Day was held in 1946 and this year will be the 73nd Annual May Day celebration. The parade starts at 11am don’t forget that Madeira Park Road closes at 10:30 so don’t be late.

Poppa Greg & the Chillin’ Dylans start at noon with music for the afternoon.

Kids (12 & under) Fishing Derby: Trophies for largest fish, smallest fish, and oddest fish, plus other prizes
Fun Run
Lions’ Pancake Breakfast: Community Hall (until 11 am)

11 am
May Day Parade along Madeira Park Road
Participants: please muster at the Legion by 10:00 am

11:30 am
Crowning of 73rd May Queen

12 – 4 pm
Activities on the field, including:
May Pole Dance
Petting zoo & pony rides
Live music
Field events & children’s games: silent auction, bouncy castle, obstacle course, races, face painting, human foosball, kids’ games, longboard hockey tournaments
50/50 tickets on sale, draw at 4 p.m.
Vendors: Crafts, food and more
Community organizations
